Photo Field Imaging Interview

By Interviewer at 02/10/08 15:57

Name of your website?

Photo Field Imaging

Your name?

Stephen Cornfield

Your Location (city, etc)

Newmarket

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We provide professional scanning services of most all film formats to digital. We also provide professional photography services in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

August 2006

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It was a name that I always liked. It is a play on my family name, Cornfield, and my hobby, photography.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

No one in my area offers the services that I do. The local camera shops do offer the scanning services but at serveral times the price and they ship out the work.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To become the most recommended company in the area for the scanning of slides, film and photos to digital format.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The business is definitely growing so the ROI is inceasing nicely.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Time and skilled personnel

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None really. I did start this out as a hobby and I did build the website myself. I have kept the costs to a minimum so far.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting traffic.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Local promotion

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

unknown.

What is your website address?

Photo Field Imaging
