When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Several years ago I launched inventionpromotions.com which I used (attempeted to use) to promote a novelty item. I let the domain expire which has since been picked up by another entity.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It applies to my subject line.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
My personal design.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Keep it for income... I hope!
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Much time... little success to date!
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
My work hours are what primarily limit me at the moment as my budget is limited. If the budget was unlimited I would pay someone to promote my site(s)

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
TIME!
What has been your biggest challenge?
TIME... as I work 60hrs per week between two jobs... and this is taking a lot of time!!!

More time than expected for the return... but I will NOT Quit!

I began this particular site about two-three weeks ago, and as I said... I will NOT Quit!
