Pictured Events Photography Interview

Name of your website?

Pictured Events Photography

Your name?

Mike Metzing

Your Location (city, etc)

Jeffersonville

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Louisville KY area photographer shooting weddings, portraits, sports, pets, schools and daycares.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Being a photographer, this allows me to get information to people looking on the web for a photographer in the Louisville KY area.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

In 2005 I had a website called legendskentuckiana.com which was a template made from the home office of Legends Photography. (our old franchised name for sports photography)

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The name goes along with our business name.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Other photographer websites are mostly frames and hard to manipulate. Our site shows more of what we do.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

We plan to keep it for income and a way for people to find us other than the phonebook.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

So far this has worked out ok but we have spent alot of time perfecting the Pictured Events website.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Having more photographers to fulfill the local needs of photography by our company.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes we would as mentioned before, we plan to have enough photographers to keep up with demand.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

New equipment. Having enough backdrops or etc. to shoot the task at hand.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Locating new clientele.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Our website has began gaining traffic with responses to our email page.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It has assisted us in locating new business using google ad words etc.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

It has been up for about a year now and we plan to keep it indeffenantly

How do you plan to grow?

By word of mouth advertising and through contacts with the website which may include adding a new site while keeping the one we have.

What is your website address?
