Name of your website?Aseda Photography
Your name?
Dolapo
Your Location (city, etc)
London, Aberdeen
Describe your website?
The website showcases some of the work I have done both past and present.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Well Shutterchance has a number of photographers some of whom I admire their work and it provided me opportunity to get feedback on my work as well as showcase my own work to a wider audience. There is always room for improvement
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
In 2007 I set up a blog on blogspot which I am now trying to revamp. It is called http://asedaphotography.blogspot.com
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Aseda pronounce Ash - ee - dar in yoruba language means the great creator. I got inspired to use the name because I realised I was only trying to recreate the images of what God created.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
It is the creativity, the passion with which I do my work and the customer service I offer that distinuishes me
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To be globally recognised for what I do and to impart others to do likewise!
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Right now success for me is the recognition of Aseda and as far as I am concerned these are days of small beginings
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I will introduce more interactive functionalities, change some of the layouts. Then again I can really change shutterchance can I?
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes I have a team of people working with me
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None that I can anticipate right now
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting the customers to understand the time required during their day for photographs, most people want to rush things and still expect the best pictures
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I don't think that is applicable, I had no expectations per se
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Forever?! I am developing another domain just now
Any other comments
None, thanks for the time.
