Please describe your blog
My blog is mostly about photography but also includes many insights and thoughts I have about my life as a engineer, student, and wedding photographer. I want to make a place for fans of my work to come to view more of what I shoot on a regular basis. I plan to make this an extension of my main site: http://www.joshjonesphoto.com/
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I created the blog to give people interested in all types of photography, cars, and anything in between a place to read my insights. I'm an award winning photographer and I love showing people my work, and helping to inspire others to capture their memories in the best ways they can.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
I use Blogger, I'm a big fan of Google and I love how user friendly and fun to use it is.
What do you blog the most about?
I usually blog about what I've most recently taken pictures of, or interesting things I've done in my life.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Blogs that exist just to make money, or regurgitate information from other sites without citing them.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I'm not a big RSS feed guy, mostly because I haven't messed around with it much. I do import my blog entries into my facebook page though, which helps me reach a lot more people.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
I make original content that is easy to read, funny at times, and useful to people that love photography or cars.
