Polaroid Corp. files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection

In order to restructure its finances and give way for an investigation of its parent company, Polaroid Corp. announced that it will be filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The company said that it will continue its operations and still work with suppliers to satisfy consumer demand. It even plans to launch new products by 2009.
