Please give us a short summary of your website?
I have a passion for animals, people and photography, (but not necessarily in that order) and these things are reflected on my site. I try to add a touch of humour where I can, but there are pages on the site which need to be sensitive.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I used to take photos whenever I attended a wedding, birthday, anniversary or other occasions for family and friends but instead of printing the photos, I presented them in a slideshow and put them on DVD. People were so amazed with the results, they encouraged me to try and make a living out of it, so I published this site, so that other people could get their photos reproduced on a Fotodisc.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I tried to pick an URL that was original and descriptive, although it makes sense to me, it's not very desciptive.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Although there are websites that offer similar services, I try to give lots of ideas on the site, I take great pleasure and pride in my work and each project which is offered to me, is given my own special personal attention. In feedback many customers often tell me that they were moved to tears while viewing their Fotodisc. I treat each slideshow as a work of art.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I would never be able to cope with a massive amount of work as I have to give my own personal attention to each project, I treat each one as a work of art, and this can be very emotionally draining.
What Type of work is most popular with customers?
It is becoming more popular for people to show slideshows of the bride and groom at the wedding reception, using photos from their childhood up into adulthood, also increasing in popularity, are requests for a "Fotodisc Memorial".
