Name of your website?

Paul S. Bartholomew Photography

Your name?

Paul S Bartholomew

Your Location (city, etc)

Levittown

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Architectural and interior design photography of Paul S. Bartholomew Photography Inc.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To show my photography and to obtain new clients.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

1999. It was photography but not the same specialty.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

From my business name.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Quality. My work is well crafted and geared toward high end projects.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Keep it to promote my work.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I do OK but of course would like more from my investment.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would make it a little more artistic but yet simple.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, I can adjust.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Poor web server that has poor customer support and doesn't work. I went with a reliable server but more expensive. Well worth it.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Learning how to get a good rank on search engines. Still working on it.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Postcards and directories.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It is much better than expected once the learning curve was mostly taken care of.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

5 years. I would continue the site no matter how well it does. It's intended as a supliment to my marketing efforts.

What percenatge of business to you obtain from your website.

It's difficuly to say because a great deal is suppoted by other marketing but I would say 70%.

What is your website address?
