Name of your website?

What My Eyes Have Seen: Photography by Brian Stark

Your name?

Brian Stark

Your Location (city, etc)

903 E Parks Street Prairie Grove, AR 72753

Please give us a short summary of your website?

My website just scratches the surface of what all I do. I am constanly evolving and growing in knowledge and technique. I have taken on photography as a full time job and I love every aspect. My website will give you a glimpse in to What My Eyes Have Seen.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I wanted a website so gallery owners/managers would be able to view some of my work.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is my first and only website ans I launched it last year.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I am somewhat of a purest with my outdoor photography. I wanted a name that would reflect the realism and the purity of unmanipulated, un-photoshoped art.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

No two people can capture the exact same image twice. A photograph is a captured moment in time. Though some settings can be recreated and time of day be matched, one can do their best to try to reproduce an image but they are all unique.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Earn a good living from my output. Be comfortable and retire to teach others what I have learned. I also am striving to get as many images published in magazines.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

So far so good.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

More studio space, tablet pc, more gear, and more training.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes. Staffing personnel is all I would need.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Finding a competant webdesigner that is not a complete flake.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting current images uploaded to the site.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth and business cards.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I really figured I would have learned to manage it by now on my own.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Over a year and hope to keep it up indiffinetly.

What are you credentials?

Very few. I am self taught with not formal training at all. I read almost everything I a=can get my hands on for tips and tricks. I have built my studio and calibrated my lighting to my eye. I have had images posted in ATV magazines in the readers section but I would really like to catch the eye of art, fashion or outdoor photography editors.

What is your website address?
